TCA has spent time testing the Windows 10 Edge browser and it’s compatibility with Liberty and TCAdvisor. If you plan to upgrade to Windows 10 with the Edge browser please consider the following.
Liberty: Liberty works as expected using the Edge browser. While the bar chart on your Overview page may be a little different, the data and information is there - Edge users will hover over the HighChart bar chart in order to see the associated amount. TCAdvisor: TCAdvisor will not launch from Edge. Oracle provides the following explanation for this behavior: ‘In Windows 10, the Edge browser does not support plug-ins and therefore will not run Java. Switch to a different browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer 11) to run the Java plug-in. More info’ This is expected to be a permanent condition since TCAdvisorII needs the Java plugin to launch from the browser and Microsoft has no plans to support plugins in Edge. If you plan to upgrade to Windows 10 with the Edge browser please know what to expect. If you’ve not done so already, TCA is strongly encouraging you to adopt and become familiar with the Liberty application. Please schedule a Liberty demo with your relationship manager to learn the functionality and it’s benefits.
